Beschreibung:	The project BEIDS ("Baltic Environmental Information Dissemination System") was an Interreg IIC project aiming at assisting with spatial planning in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) by fulfilling a basic need: increased cooperation via better access to environmental information. Acting as a focal point for the circulation of intelligent information on energy, transport and sustainable development issues, it currently involves Denmark, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden and Russia. A network and information dissemination infra-structure has been set up and now contributes to networking and know-how exchange on environmental issues in the region.
